And genuinely fantastic spot to get the overview of the entire city below. I only went at night-time so haven't been to see the inside of the buildings or do any tours, but I imagine they are fantasticHalden 🇳🇴🏞🏔🗺- The Fredriksten fortress covers an extensive area of 2, 000 square meters (21, 528 square feet) and contains storehouses, powder houses, bastions, and deep passageways. The fortress has 3 freestanding forts: Gyldenløve, Overberget and Stortårnet. Great place although you have to climb slowly to the top;DThis place is cool and you can see overview of village and you can learn history in everywhere.

None the less the museum is wonderful and full of the history of Volvo, just amazing. Do yourself a favour and get down to this amazing museum! A great collection of historic Volvo cars, trucks and everything they have ever produced. The museum is modern and does a nice job showing the progression of their history. I highly recommend a visit! Had a ton of fun here, got to see volvos development throughout the ages and it cool, interesting and weirdly designed concept cars, was surprised that Volvo made an engine for a fighter jet, close to the end of the museum you will get to enter some of the cars and busses.

Even without a guided tour (Swedish guided tour is included in the entrance fee), a lot of exploration can be done. It takes at least a few hours to properly explore it. The Castle was built in the 17th, it was used as a prisional. Several notable prisioneira pass through it. You can have a good idea how was a prisioneer life in that time.

I never knew Volvo made such remarkable cars in the early days, probably underrated and unknown, but some of them had such plush interiors and tonnes of room that I think made passengers feel like royalty. You will also see how Volvo transformed over the years, to the glorious powerhouse it is today that is on track to compete with the world's best. I love Volvo! I planned a trip just to see this museum and had planned on doing a factory tour (be aware they close over summer for holidays and you won't be able to go).
